Flagship status definition:

Aims to integrate the value chain both horizontally and vertically, ensuring the technological, commercial, legal, and social feasibility of systemic solutions with long-term growth potential.

Strengthens the bioeconomy sector or develops model solutions to address key societal challenges.

Raises awareness of critical issues among the general public due to its specific and high-level importance.

Enhances visibility at both national and international levels for the country in which it is implemented.

Duration ranges from 2 to 5 years. To qualify as a flagship project, a minimum of €2M in private funding or €8M in public funding is required.
